“tate pit-cha”

in my opinion, the 24 hour travel day is a huge test of personal strength. many a men have cracked - missing connecting flights, sleeping through an important air-meal, or accidentally entering a women’s restroom in a bizarrely modest culture; we all have these unfortunate travel mishaps and most of us are better for them. however, it is the seasoned traveler that enters the last leg of this race with a euphoric and effortless ease about him - more cunning and creative then when he began.

as we hit our final stretch, in a busted down bus toward shanghai, we found such a fusion in time-passers. tired of practicing chinese conjugations, ryan wisely inspired us to evolve our technique and test out our chinese expressions. this type of genius might be baffle some of you less experienced travelers. do not worry, careful study of our art will help you channel your own delusions… genius.

** changing gears **

on a more serious note, God has been so gracious to us blessing us with safe travels and good rest thus far.

Couldn’t resist commentation, you may not remember me, but I’d like to put my vote in for who would make the most friends…you neglected to include a little brillo-headed female with an infectious smile. Give my regards to Mrs. Walton.

wow, deborah swings a vote and she wasn’t even playing. it looks like the “write-in” is tied for first.

Each one is quite unique - some look a bit constipated! Hope it’s not the food! Praying for you guys! I vote for the two Mrs. Chans!

I also thought they looked as if suffering from constipation… thank you susan from both of us mrs chans. we appreciate your vote of confidence. However I do beleive that deborah already has us beat hands down. We knew she was a bit of a “Dr Dolittle”. She has proven not only to have the ability to attract stray animals but also stray people as well. Deborah has a wonderful way with all of God’s creatures so there is no doubt it will be Deborah if things continue. Lets see there was the skinny cat, young teacher from Xian who used Deb to practice her english as we toured the Ancient city, the post card lady, the tour driver , a sweet young lady, who seems to love giving Deborah preferetial treatment, not to mention all of the random children who have enjoyed having her take their picture. Deborah with her warm heart and quick draw camera action has already taken China by storm. We are so glad she is with us we are having a blast……….life is never dull with our funny friend around.
