goin’ north : day 13

in case anyone wondered what i look like frolicking on a bed in gray long johns, wonder no more! and check out that point!

today was wonderfully low-key. after waking up to the afternoon sun, we promptly left our hotel at a respectable 12:30 pm. we were fortunate enough to spend the afternoon with the super-fantastic walton family - bret, brandy, + the baby-on-the-way. from the stories that i’ve heard, bret and i were in-utero buddies. our parents are life-long friends and we did everything from t-ball to ninja turtle themed birthday parties together. bret, brandy ( + the baby ) took us to this sweet joint for lunch. ( if i can remember the name, i will post a link ). the story is that two brothers bought out a dilapidated school and turned it into a restaurant / theatre / pub / hotel. here’s some shots of the classroom-turned-theatre-lobby.

when asked what they would desire to wake up with tomorrow, bret said “supreme, natural athleticism… so that i could do back flips to the mailbox.” brandy’s was “more” realistic - “to have had this baby and be skinny again!” which, btw, brandy is an adorable expecting mother!

thanks you guys for such a great afternoon. can’t wait till next time!

Thanks for the ever so “fun” picture of you dancing in your long johns! I don’t know if my life was complete until I saw that:-) What city is this?

The restaurant looks like Mcmenamin’s Kennedy School to me. I have clearly spent too much time in Portland.
