let the nerd-fest commence!

going into marraige, nellie + i recieved a lot of very wise council. one of the things that stuck with us most, however, was to “know what your getting into.” go into marraige with your eyes wide open type of stuff… so, during engagement we drafted a contract, to really keep ourselves growing in each other. for her part it was visit starbucks less than twice a day and never again rent a movie with the “hunkorious” sean patrick flannery. for me, it was to not wear the same outfit more than one time a week and “not blog on the honeymoon.”

as she has honored her commitment, so i have honored mine. but now! the honeymoon is over and i have a backlog of bloggage to unleash upon you - our gracious friends. so pull up a chair and enjoy as i share with you every story we’ll forget to tell everyone else who asks.

the lost and found

being home for a week we’ve had the privilege to open just about every gift and we must say that we have been incredibly blessed. we were blown away by the magnitude of your generosity.

unfortunately, cards and notes have a tendency to disappear when everything gets packed up in the dark. to the credit of everyone that helped afterward, there were only four gifts without tags. we hate the thought of anyone not being duly thanked. so, we compiled a list. if you are ( or a loved one ) contributed any of the following items to the “m + n : wedding fund” please contact your local authorities with any helpful information. you can post a comment here or email at “michaelandnellie@gmail.com”:mailto:michaelandnellie@gmail.com .

1. Calphalon Santuko Knife Set
2. China Serving Platter ( w/ Silver Edging )
3. Oneida China Serving Bowl Set
4. Thin, Tall, Glass Pitcher

we’ve been blogged!

on our last morning in new york, we got a call from nate kaiser “theimageisfound”:http://www.theimageisfound.com . he said “i don’t know if your still in the country, but if you are, find a computer and check our blog. your on it.”

now nate and jaclyn are wise 21st century business people and post picture of every wedding they do on their site. nellie and i must have visited this site 100 times each, getting stoked about what our own pictures would look like.

we’re proud to say that day has come. click on the picture to see their blog post on our wedding. the pictures are absolutely amazing. maybe you’ll see yourself in a few. thanks nate and jaclyn for all that you did for us!

thank you!

dear friends.

with every passing moment, nellie + I are becoming increasingly convinced that our wedding truly was the greatest and most exciting day of our lives.

during the course of our honeymoon many people asked how “magical” our wedding was. we considered it a great honor to say “actually it wasn’t” and instead tell them how beautifully personal each of you made it.

there is still much to be done but, before we jump back into real life, we wanted to take a moment and thank you, our friends and family, who made our wedding such an intimate, memorable, and charming day. your openness, generosity, and care exceeded every expectation that we had. your support and love were overwhelming and we pray that, by some means, we might return this blessing of grace and friendship. your presence that day holds a fond place in our hearts and we will never forget the sacrifice that you made to be a part of our absolutely “not-magical” day ;)

thank you.
